Hope Youth Information & Registration Form

What is Hope Youth?

Hope Youth is a place for high schoolers (Years 7–12) to belong, have fun, and grow in knowing Jesus.
Every Thursday during school term we gather for:

  • Games & activities that get everyone laughing, moving, and making new friends
  • Live music and singing led by our youth band
  • A short talk from the Bible about Jesus and how he makes sense of life
  • Small groups where teens can share, ask questions, and build real friendships
  • Supper together (because food makes everything better!)

We meet Thursdays, 5:30–7:30pm at Stanhope Church. All teenagers are welcome — and yes, friends too!

Cost

Your first time? Completely free. Guests are always welcome.

For regulars, some choose to chip in $25 per term (or $3 per week) to help cover supper and activities. Payment is easy — cash or card at the welcome desk. But most of all, we just want you here.

Questions or concerns?

We’d love to chat. Reach out to our Youth Minister, Sam Russell, at  at sam@stanhopechurch.org.au.

Permissions, Authorisations, and Expectations - the fine print (but in plain words)

By filling out this form, you’re letting us know a few important things:

  • Permission to join in — You’re giving permission for your child to take part in Hope Youth activities, unless you let us know otherwise.
  • Looking after details — The information you provide will be used by our leaders to stay in touch with you, your teen, and if needed, may be shared with medical or emergency services. We won’t pass it on to anyone else.
  • Photos & videos — Sometimes we take photos or videos of youth activities to share with our church community or online, your child may be included in these, unless you explicitly opt out by contacting Sam Russell (sam@stanhopechurch.org.au)
  • Safe & respectful space — We want Hope Youth to be fun and safe for everyone. If behaviour is unsafe or unkind, we may need to ask a young person to sit out or even miss future weeks.
  • In case of emergency — We’ll do everything we can to keep your child safe. If something serious happens, you authorise our leaders to get the medical help needed (at your expense if required).
  • Important info — Please share anything that would help us care well for your child (e.g. medical needs, allergies, or if there is someone who is legally restricted from seeing them — e.g. an AVO or Family Court Order).
  • Christian focus — Hope Youth is all about helping young people get to know Jesus, so our activities include Christian teaching and discussion.
  • Keeping details up to date — Please let us know if any of your details change so we can stay in touch.
